Toni Cantu
Toni Cantu has been sober for 10+ years and it has been the hardest but most rewarding experience for her. Toni has been helped all her life and believes it is now her turn to serve and give hope without worrying about financial issues to stop people from getting sober/clean. Receiving her AA at College of the Desert gave her an open door with more knowledge to share.
Toni started her business plan with Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center. COVID-19 hit and after two years of receiving mentoring direction, the plan went from addiction resources and services for profit, to a non-profit business. Toni knows from her experience that sobriety is hard work and you need to work consistently by changing your environment for success. Toni’s goal with The Hub Connections is to be the first and last call for help.
Britney Cantu
My name is Britney Cantu, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with nearly nine years of experience in the mental health field and five years as a fully licensed clinician. Mental health is deeply personal to me—I have been touched by mental health and substance use challenges both personally and professionally, which fuels my passion for helping others heal and grow.
I believe in the power of connection, collaboration, and accessible care for all, and I hope my work with The Hub Connection helps break down barriers to mental health and substance use recovery. My goal is to support and uplift those who often feel unheard and to help create a community where everyone feels seen and valued.
Outside of my professional work, I’m a wife and proud mom of two, and I have been sober since March 2024—a personal milestone that continues to deepen my empathy and purpose in this field.
Teresa Freeman
Teresa Freeman is a longtime Coachella Valley resident and a community-minded leader with a passion for helping others build stability, confidence, and purpose in their lives. With a background in business operations, financial management, and nonprofit advising, she brings both heart and structure to her role as Treasurer for The Hub Connections.
After more than two decades in leadership roles within the banking and financial services industry, Teresa transitioned into mission-driven work supporting small business owners and nonprofits throughout the Coachella Valley. She now serves as a Business Counselor at the Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center, where she helps entrepreneurs strengthen their operations and financial foundations.

Her goal with The Hub Connections is to ensure the organization remains financially strong and sustainable, so it can continue to provide hope and resources for years to come.
Outside of her professional work, Teresa is an advocate for lifelong learning and personal growth. She enjoys spending time outdoors, mentoring women in leadership, and finding creative ways to make a positive impact in her community.
Kelli Navarro
By the grace of God, Kelli Navarro recovered from her affliction of drug addiction and alcohol use back in 1999 and remains “clean and sober” to this day. Utilizing the Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous recovery programs as well as living at the ABC Recovery Center in Indio, California for over 1 year, Kelli has over 24 years’ experience of remaining clean and sober and living a successful life of recovery to offer those in need at The Hub Connections.
Living a life of recovery has allowed Kelli the highest honor of being a mother of (2), a wife, a business owner and a valued member of her community in the Coachella Valley in Southern California. Being 10 weeks pregnant, Kelli moved to Indio in 1999 from her hometown of Sacramento, California in order to seek a firm foundation of a new life in recovery, abstinent from drugs and alcohol, and to pursue being a first-time mom, raising her child alone. To this day, this is her first and only recovery which leads to the value of what she brings to The Hub Connection.
Additionally, back in 2020, during the covid pandemic, upon going through a heartbreaking divorce, Kelli started her own business as a Professional Organizer, helping people be organized and prepared for life. Whether it’s a pantry, closet, garage, paperwork or filing, whether it’s a residential home or a business, Kelli helps declutter and create order out of a messy situation to allow for peace of mind going forward in daily life. Being compassionate, empathetic and sympathetic to the seriousness of life combined with being methodical, having an eye for detail and offering the consistency of order and structure, Kelli brings a variety of heart-felt knowledge to the table at The Hub Connections.
With God as her guide and a heart to serve others, Kelli counts it a privilege to sow into the lives of the addicted, their family and friends, here at The Hub Connections.
